ME-App - Motivation and Empowerment App

Erasmus+ programme of the European Union / Adult Education cooperation project

The ME-App project seeks to develop an innovative digital tool for enhancing the employability and sustainable job market integration of unemployed adults with multiple psycho-social obstacles to employment. It addresses an unmet need for more social support structures for such unemployed adults that would help them tackle these obstacles over the long-term.

A free, easy-to-use mobile app to empower and motivate unemployed adults – the ME-App – will be developed. It will help them monitor psycho-social obstacles to employment such as mood, anxiety or sleep, and provide motivational messages and interactive functionalities. The ME-App will be piloted in programmes for unemployed adults in 4 countries, and then adapted, launched and disseminated among adult education organisations working with unemployed adults.

The ME-App will be a one-stop, personalisable digital tool for unemployed people that will help them address and monitor their individual set of psycho-social obstacles to employment during and after their participation in programmes for unemployed and while starting a new job. The ME-App project will also teach educators working with unemployed about the necessary criteria for selecting and using apps, including the ME-App, in their classes.

IDEAL - innovative digital language learning for the healthcare sector

Erasmus+ programme of the European Union / VET cooperation project

The IDEAL project bridges the gap between recognised language skill deficits and current VET training/teaching/counselling methods in the healthcare sector. It will do this by developing an innovative online language learning approach, consisting of learning videos and an interactive glossary, which will be a part of a digital learning platform, as well as a teacher’s handbook with practical and methodological guidelines for the best usage of the videos, glossary and other materials collected. Additionally, the project offers digital learning tools to students and trainees in neighbouring countries so they can improve their German language skills and enter the healthcare sector.

The project contributes to raising the practical skill level of VET trainers/teachers/counsellors, and improves German language skills and labour market integration of trainees in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, it promotes the use of innovative digital learning tools for language proficiency and skills training, and transfer knowledge in this area among countries. Finally, the project contributes to better employability for people from partner countries wishing to train/work in the healthcare sector in German-speaking countries.

BeWell - Blueprint Alliance for a Future Health Workforce Strategy on Digital And Green Skills

Erasmus+ Alliance for Innovation / Sectoral Skills Alliance

A strategy on upskilling and reskilling the European health workforce is being produced by a consortium of 24 partners from 11 European countries, led by the European Health Management Association (EHMA). The strategy is part of a project called BeWell, which is a large-scale skills partnership that will work with a wide range of healthcare stakeholders to gather insights and deliver training programmes that help inform a strategy that integrates into local, regional, national and European plans. The BeWell strategy will prepare the health workforce for future challenges and ever-changing societal context and evolving expectations.

The Europe-wide consortium includes employers, trade associations, trade unions, public service unions, non-governmental organisations, research institutions, vocational education and training providers such as DATEY, higher education institutions, industry, health authorities, insurers, as well as organisations representing and bringing the perspectives of health and social care professionals including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, radiologists, and health managers.

The project contributes to the Pact for Skills initiative under the European Skills Agenda 2020 aiming to empower the healthcare workforce to participate in the green and digital transition. The Pact will facilitate collaboration between a wide range of public and private stakeholders by setting up a large-scale skills partnership embracing local, regional and national levels.

MADIS - Models for Advancing the Digital Inclusion of Seniors

Erasmus+ programme of the European Union / adult education project

The project aims to identify effective training models in the area of adult education which contribute significantly to advancing the digital inclusion of seniors.

Against the backdrop of the digital transformation and the digital divide affecting seniors in the partnering countries, the project will explore why seniors with a clear need of digital literacy often do not participate in digital skills training events. In  a second step, it will identify key criteria and best practice models of training initiatives that have overcome "barriers" that keep senior citizens from participating in digital skills training and compile this information in a digital handbook to be shared widely among stakeholders. Both, the survey on implementation barriers and the handbook of best practice models are conceived as useful reference tools and resources to inform, shape and/or complement training efforts and engagement activities of adult education organisations and related stakeholders; they will contribute to strengthening the effectiveness and impact of digital training activities and in turn advance the digital inclusion of seniors.
